The GD166B is a compact True RMS smart clamp meter designed for fast electrical diagnostics in household, automotive and service work. It measures AC current up to 600A with the clamp, and on the GD166B version it also measures DC current (with DCA zero for better DC clamp accuracy). The meter supports AC inrush current capture for motors and compressors, and it combines clamp measurements with full multimeter functions for voltage, resistance, capacitance, frequency and temperature.

A 6000-count color LCD with backlight makes readings easy to see, while features such as NCV non-contact voltage detection, live wire detection, MAX/MIN, data hold, auto power off, low-battery indication and overload display improve day-to-day usability. The meter runs on 3× AAA batteries and is supplied without batteries.
