How to Calculate the Length of a Timing Belt

To select the correct timing belt length, use the following formula:

• L = Belt length
• C = Center distance between pulleys
• D1 = Diameter of the small pulley
• D2 = Diameter of the large pulley

Example Calculation:
If the center distance (C) is 150 mm (5.91 inches), the diameter of the small pulley (D1) is 30 mm (1.18 inches), and the diameter of the large pulley (D2) is 60 mm (2.36 inches), the belt length (L) would be:
