The GD169A is a high-performance True RMS clamp meter designed for professional troubleshooting in electrical maintenance, industry and HVAC work. It measures AC/DC current up to 1000A using the clamp, and voltage up to 1000V DC or 750V AC with test leads. A color HD LCD, backlight and flashlight make it easier to work in panels and darker spaces, while smart (AUTO) measurement and automatic current identification help speed up diagnostics.
This model includes advanced features that are especially useful in real installations, such as VFD voltage/current measurement for variable-frequency drives, inrush current capture for motors and compressors, and LowZ (low input impedance) mode to reduce ghost voltages when checking long cable runs or induced voltages. It also supports NCV non-contact voltage detection, live wire detection, diode/continuity testing, resistance, capacitance, frequency and duty cycle, temperature measurement with thermocouple, data hold, relative measurement, max/min, and DC current zeroing. The meter is powered by 3× AAA batteries and is supplied without batteries.
